Gavin Jones, Managing Director
Gavin Jones, born in England, has over 30 years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry, spanning the UK, Australia and Asia.
He was the head of Jebsen Beverage Co. Ltd where he helped build Jebsen Fine Wines into a leading wine, spirits, sake and mineral water importer and distributor in the Greater China region over the past 25 years.
As Managing Director of Jebsen Beverage, Gavin was fully responsible for the entire beverage enterprise, including the beer portfolio, a significant number one share in Hong Kong and a hugely successful story in PRC. Under Gavin’s leadership, Jebsen and AB Inbev developed a joint-venture for Blue Girl Beer brand in PRC, launched in June 2019, one of the text-book JV success stories in Mainland China.
Gavin has been an active board member of both FDGA (HK Food Drink and Grocery Association) and FReD (HK Forum for Responsible Drinking), and been an invited advisor to events organisations such as Vinexpo Asia Pacific and HK Restaurant & Bar.
Gavin retired from Jebsen at the end of 2020 to establish this consultancy business, and has built a panel of independent consultants, engaged to help manage all bespoke projects.
Gavin is now back in his role as CEO of JamesSuckling.com, a leading global wine media and events group.
